Data Security: Protecting Information in the Era of Big Data *** During to a winter storm forecast for November 27, the Seminar has been rescheduled to Friday, Dec. 05: venue and speakers are the same How secure is the information you deal with on a daily basis? Are cloud storage and cloud collaboration apps like Dropbox and Google Drive our friends or our foes? Is surveillant anxiety the new norm in the era of Big Data? The ARMA PEI Chapter is excited to be bringing two great speakers to Charlottetown to help you answer these important questions: - Travis Barlow is VP of Advanced Security Services with GoSecure Inc., founder of the Atlantic Security Conference, the Halifax Area Security Klatch, and Halifax Hack Labs, a local hackers’ club (all above board, of course). Travis is a self- proclaimed security junkie with no plans to rehabilitate any time soon. Check out his Twitter feed @Travis_R_Barlow. - David Iscove is a Business Lead / Subject-Matter Expert with Universal Music Group (UMG) in Los Angeles. David has worked in the audio, music, and digital asset management fields for such companies as UMG, EMI Music, and Activision Blizzard, and earns some serious street cred for his audio work on triple-A game titles like Guitar Hero and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
